The quick and dirty MacWorld news line-up:

- The new iPod Shuffle will be in stores starting today. Offering either 512 Mb of 1 Gb in storage capacity, prices will range from 99 tot 149 dollars.
Because of its small size (a pack of gum), it has no display at all. Instead it is set to automatically play the songs on the device in shufflle mode.

- The stripped down Mac Mini is going to happen after all (I personally thought this one was a hoax). The Apple computer will be in stores 22 January, costing $499 for a 1.25 Ghz G4 with a 40 Gb harddrive model and $599 for a 1.4 Ghz G4 processor with 80 Gb harddrive. You'll have to provide for your own keyboard, mouse and monitor.

- Apple will launch Pages on 22 January. Jobs claims the application is a word processor, but judging on the demonstration that was given it looks more like a dumbed down desk top publishing application. Cost $79
